Welcome to Lively!
This is a action puzzle game where you arrange beads into large varied alternating patterns before breaking them apart.
Bellow is a detailed tutorial on the game,
Chains
________
A chain of beads consists of at least two chunks of beads that are of complementary types.
Earth - Water - Air Chunks will all connect with each other
Light - Dark Chunks will all connect with each other
To make a chunk of beads, three or more of the same color need to be touching each other. Once that chunk touches another chunk of a different type they'll connect like this [Note how the dark chunk on top can't connect to the water or air chunks, while the light chunk can't connect to the earth or air chunks]:
Breakers
__________
As you place and break beads, the break meter (to the right of the board) will fill up.
Once the break meter is filled it'll show how many breaker you can summon. If a breaker bead touches any chains they'll break apart allowing everything to fall down bellow!
This can create chain reactions.
Tips
______
1) Minimize chunk size / Maximize the number of chunks. For a higher score, a chain a chain with many small chunks will score better than a chain with a few large chunks.
2) Prioritize combos. For the highest score, you will need to know how to make combos. They provide a huge multiplier for increasing combos counts.
3) Breaker Beads can stack on top of each other. They only react to chains, since breaker beads can't be apart of chains they will stay dormant on top of each other. It's an easy way to make combos given you have the vertical space.
Likewise you can use a bead that matches the color of a future chain
4) Remember the Flip button! It allows for the two non-anchored beads to swap places, sometimes that might be the trick to placing the beads exactly where they should be.
5) Hi-Scores aren't about speed. Don't be afraid to take a bit of time when necessary. The game starts slow, take that to your advantage.
Heads up: This game is also on Newgrounds with support for save files and scoreboards. If you want to use those, go to the Newgrounds version here:
